HYDRALIANS, the partner of the water and landscape trades, distributes professional products and supplies for swimming pools, irrigation and landscaping.

This project aims to establish an EU advisory network on water use, increasing the exchange of knowledge and best practices on optimized water use and management, and supporting the translation of knowledge into application across the 27 EU Member States.

Recently the EIA board has approved the foundation of the "sustainable plastic use in irrigation WG" (PWG) under the sustainability WG. The purpose of this WG is to advance the responsible use of plastic in irrigation in the EU market.

The “ Green Deal Sports Facilities“ was launched on Friday March 11 for the Flemish Region ( Sponsored by the Goverment ). Paul Van Breda, one of our active member, is the only one representing the Irrigation industry in this project. Paul will participate as an EXPERT – sharing experience and knowledge .

The European Irrigation Association (EIA) organized on March 11, 2022  a virtual Spring Irrigation Forum. The Forum this time was dedicated to the theme of Wastewater Reuse in Irrigation.

The WG leader, Giulia Giuffrè, welcomed the participants and opened the meeting. She reminded participants about the EIA Code of Conduct and the necessary need to respect its provisions at all times during and around the meeting, including breaks.

Working Group 6 meeting was held on January  18 and had  4 participants: Fleur Martin - EIA (leader), Pilar Urreta, Mathloding - Céline Palvadeau, Netafim - Oriol Torrano, ITC. Different topics were discussed during this meeting :

The EIA should focus on tapping into knowledge base and training capacity of its members and offer a knowledge sharing platform that promotes modern irrigation technologies and practices contributing to increased water use efficiency.

Each WG2 participant was assigned a topic to develop, with the aim of establishing a kind of white paper. The participants started to work on each topic and sent a first draft of their work.

At the end of 2021 we were happy to announce on the creation of a new role of Special advisor to the Board occupied by Bruno Molle.
