Weenat acquires CoRHIZE and strengthens its leadership in Agricultural Irrigation Management in France and Europe

Weenat, the European leader in soil moisture monitoring, announces its acquisition of CoRHIZE, a specialist in irrigation management solutions. This strategic step further advances efforts to help the agricultural sector optimize water management across France and Europe.
Since their founding, Weenat and CoRHIZE have shared a common mission: to support farmers in managing irrigation, saving both time and water. Both companies are deeply connected to the agricultural sector and bring complementary technological expertise, enabling real-time, remote soil moisture measurement through connected sensors. This synergy is further enhanced by their complementary approaches and technologies.
Founded in Agen in 2007 by Serge Escuraing, CoRHIZE quickly became a reference in irrigation management. Its high-quality capacitive probes, renowned for their precision and reliability in soil moisture measurement, are paired with a dedicated mobile application and proven field expertise, offering users comprehensive and efficient solutions.

Founded in 2014 by Jérôme Le Roy, Weenat quickly established itself as a technological leader, launching the first wireless tensiometer connected to a mobile application for farmers in 2015. Since then, the company has developed reliable, precise irrigation probes and built Decision Support Tools for irrigation management, alongside capabilities in engineering, machine learning, agronomy, and meteorology.

Data collected by CoRHIZE’s connected sensors will enrich the database powering Weenat’s data science algorithms. Since late 2023, Weenat’s R&I teams have been working on the Meteoria project, which aims to leverage soil sensor data, satellite imagery, and thousands of soil samples and analyses to evaluate soil moisture across all European agricultural plots—even without sensors.

Key Figures of the New Entity:
• Over 30,000 farmers using our solutions.
• More than 30,000 sensors installed across France and Europe.
• A partnership network of over 300 agro-meteorology distributors, including the Chambers of Agriculture in France, major agricultural distributors, universities, and leading agricultural innovation institutes across Europe.
• Presence in 15 countries, with plans for accelerated international expansion.
