The EIA held its General Assembly online on November 18 , 2022

Out of 68 ordinary members, there were 17 members present or represented, which does not constitute the required quorum for the General Assembly meeting to take valid decisions. However, participants decided to continue the meeting.

Moshi Berenstein opened the meeting reporting on main EIA activities carried out in the last months, including the cocktail at the EIMA show, the members’ survey, the online Forums and the 6 EIA Working Groups (see the Powerpoint attached).   

Then Bruno Molle, EIA Executive Advisor, presented the main outcomes of the survey to rebuild the EIA Strategy (Link : EIA-European Irrigation Association Survey results – EIA (irrigationeurope.eu) 

The second part of the GA was about Financial matters and election of new Board members .

Moshi Berenstein, presented the EIA budget for 2022, and Anne Claire Rasselet, presented the financial results for the year 2021. Considering the required quorum was not reached, no vote took place during the meeting.

Election of Board members :  The EIA Board of Directors proposed three candidates: Thierry Haller (Rivulis), replacing Juan Francisco Martinez; Frédéric Fleszar (Solem), replacing Frédéric Comte and Javier Juárez (Azud), a new candidate

Considering the required quorum was not reached, a New General Assembly was finally organized on December 14, 2022 : the budget has been voted, and the 3 Board members elected with a large majority.
