Paul Van Breda, founder of VBS Irrigation and one of the founding members of the EIA, has passed away.

Paul Van Breda, founder of VBS Irrigation, passed away on October 13, 2023, his family announced.

Passionate about irrigation, he founded and managed VBS Irrigation (Belgium) for 32 years. He sold his company in 2021 and continued to work as a consultant through his company Irri-spec.

An irrigation auditor and certified irrigation designer, he was a founding member of the European Irrigation Association and has played an active role in the association’s activities since its creation 27 years ago, with great passion and dedication, particularly in the field of training.

He has also been a lecturer at PCLT Roeselare and a member of the Ternesse Golf & Country Club.
