This year, Irrigazette and EIA joined forces to hold a unique day of  Irrigazette Editorial Committee and EIA General Assembly & gathering on June 15, in Mas d’Entremont, Aix-en-Provence, France.

It was an hybrid event : 40 participants were on place and 15 online. We were delighted to see that some of our members made the trip from Italy, Portugal, Spain, Denmark, the Netherlands and even Turkey to join our annual meeting.

The day was full and fruitful : 

In morning, the meeting started by a presentation of Irrigazette and the Editorial Committee by Fleur Martin, the editor in chief, and a round table of the participants regarding the going season.

Then, the participant decided, together, the editorial content of the various upcoming editions of Irrigazette, for the season 2023/2024.

At the same time, some EIA members took part in a meeting of the Taxonomy working group, with Francesco Dubini, from the European House Ambrosetti, who came specially from Italy.

We paused for a refined lunch in the shade of the trees.

In the afternoon,  EIA General Assembly was held online and on place.  The meeting started with an Introduction by the President, Moshi Berenstein flowed by an Up-date on the Working groups, by the 6 Working groups leaders.

Then we attended a very interesting presentation about the “Application of European Taxonomy to the irrigation industry”, by Francesco Dubini, consultant at the European House, Ambrosetti.

The meeting ended with some administrative tasks :  approval of EIA financial results 2022, approval of EIA budget 2023  and articles of the Association: amend.

The day ended with a convivial evening at the Bistro Grand Boise, 15 minutes from Aix en Provence, with a fine dinner and wine from Domaine Grand Boise, during which members were able to exchange ideas and network.
