  • Approval of minutes of last meeting

A new member of the working group was present (Ocmis): introduction postponed to the next meeting.

  • Certification labels

The advocacy roundtable project (taxonomy topic 2 of this minutes) could possibly be a first step towards the certification label project. However, the sustainable irrigation definition should be considered again. A survey draft will be presented to all WG participants to choose the sustainability topics to be discussed and focused on from September 2024.

  • EU Taxonomy

Waiting for the feedback by the EU, expected by December 2024, a dedicated irrigation advocacy roundtable project is being considered in order to get in touch with EU decision makers and promote the irrigation sector analysis and points of view presented in the position paper for taxonomy. The project would be led by Ambrosetti House, who would organize and moderate the event in Brussels.  Giulia, Bruno and Moshi will meet to discuss the stakeholder mapping for the roundtable event.

  • Plastic collecting and recycling in agriculture.

Ido will submit a budget proposal for the communication on the topic.

  • Communication

We should understand how to promote and communicate our topics during EIMA show.

  • People of influence

To be discussed during the next meeting
