Call to members : Join EIA Working group Urban Landscape !

After a first series of documents produced on UL irrigation good practices, posted on the web site of the association, and considering the growing concern around the concepts of sustainability, the WG-UL has launched two projects:

  • Defining and qualifying what irrigation efficiencymeans in the context of Urban Landscapes, this in the objective of anticipating what European Taxonomy could result in for our sector.  A first draft is attached to this message (please comment in track mode and email to molle@irrigationeurope.eu);
  • Preparing a European round table to advocate on Urban Landscape irrigation: as many municipalities are cancelling irrigation from their landscapes, we need to better explain benefits and highlight on limits, with solutions that will enhance irrigation efficiency while reducing pressure on water resources.  This round table should be introduced during a workshop EIAmanages during Paysalia show (3rd of December 25).

We will also discuss the organization of a European conference in the framework of the Paysalia show in Lyon (Fr) on the 3rd of December.  We need your help to discuss topics to address and identify speakers.

We invite you to attend our next meeting to discuss these points and propose your insights, the WG is open to new participations and contributions from EIA members… don’t hesitate to raise your hand and support a better understanding of Water Management and Irrigation for Urban Landscapes (mail to bruno.molle@irrigationeurope.eu).

Important: In case you are not available please delegate someone from your company to contribute and avoid your voice not to be carried out (mail to bruno.molle@irrigationeurope.eu).
