Mechanical control and diangnosis methods adopted for the restoration of old pivots and linear move machines

1. CHECKING THE INSTALLATIONS
Replacement parts represent 40% of the pivot market in Europe.
In France, and in the Landes region, in particular, the first electric pivots were installed in 1974 and 1975. The ground is flat and groundwater is easily extracted at a depth of between 7 and 10 m. – A 20-metre borehole yields 30 m3/h. The Chamber of Agriculture, CUMA d’Aquitaine (Cooperative set up for the Common Use of Agricultural Equipment), GRCETA (Regional Group of Agricultural Research Centres) and some manufacturers and installers have developed protocols for checking these old device.
